This one’s a fairly short one as GBAs don’t have a huge amount of moving parts. We got our hands on a purple unit that needed some TLC.

Cracking it open, the board looks fine and powers up correctly. No shorts, no drama! We used an IPS screen in this work, which is a pretty quick mod: a flex cable and some wires later, and it’s ready to go.

With everything in place and reassembled, the unit fired up straight away and works like a dream!
